get to know alicia.

Alicia Baxter is a dedicated youth and adolescent counselor with more than five years of specialized experience supporting young people as they navigate emotional and behavioral challenges. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Mary Baldwin University in 2018 and her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Aurora University in 2020. Alicia is currently a supervisee in social work and is being supervised by Hillary Long, LCSW. As a proud Navy veteran, Alicia brings the values of dedication, adaptability, and unwavering support into her practice, creating a structured, compassionate environment where young people can feel safe, understood, and empowered to heal.

Alicia specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and trauma-focused care, working with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, and post-traumatic stress. Her therapeutic approach emphasizes practical coping skills, self-awareness, emotional regulation, and safe trauma processing.

Through collaboration with families, Alicia helps ensure that the skills and progress developed in therapy extend beyond the counseling setting and support lasting, positive changes at home, at school, and in everyday life.
