Licensed Mental Health Clinician.

Restore Family Counseling, Inc is seeking a qualified Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for full and part-time outpatient counseling to provide services throughout the greater Roanoke Valley region of southwest Virginia. We offer a warm, collaborative work environment with freedom and flexibility in scheduling and professional development assistance. This position is offered as an in-office position with some remote telehealth options.

 


 

Overview:  To provide individual, couples, family, group counseling sessions or psycho-social educational services to clients in a private practice setting.

 


 

General Responsibilities: 
• Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues.
• Provide prevention-oriented therapy.
• Maintain a client-centered approach utilizing cultural sensitivity and the client’s personal goals combined with the therapist’s compassion and knowledge.
• Implement and review treatment plans.
• Collaborate with additional treatment providers and placement agencies.
• Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner.
• Maintain clinical documentation and use electronic health systems records.
• Adhere to the American Counseling Association (ACA) Code of Ethics.

 


 

Qualifications: 
• Master’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work required.
• Full-time positions require candidates to hold an active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia.
• At least one year in mental health counseling.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with community mental health resources.
• Ability to build rapport with clients.
• Demonstrated strong leadership skills.
• Ability to attend regular staff meetings and supervision for collaboration and education.
• Ability to collaborate with additional treatment providers and placement agencies.
• Ability to pass all child protective services, criminal history and DMV background checks.
• A self-starter with good organizational and time management skills.
• Must have a positive, hopeful and professional attitude.
